Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 

I think that Tim Burton is categorised as an Auteur theory because he portray the movie by collaborating with the book Charlie and the Chocolate factory, the director made the movie from the book by having some similarities to the book, the genre of Charlie and the Chocolate factory is fantasy and adventure which would be aimed for the children and family to watch. 

The director have followed the author's book and try to relive the scene in the book and the moments. I think the director is categorised for having the movie following the novels footstep and creating it in his own image.

Tim Burton have directed and made the other movie called Edward Scissorhand which have the same actor Johnny Depp, the director have this actor to be in both movies because he believes that he makes the perfect main character. Edward Scissorhand is about young man with a freakish scissors as his hands which makes him an outcast,but despite the appearance he is a gentle soul with kindness and talent. I think that Johnny Depp is the best at portraying the character which suited the actor's personality to the characters. the genre of Edward Scissorhands  is an gothic/fantasy which also have romance in the movies 

i think Tim Burton chose to have the same actors and different genre to relive the characters and the story from the book to life so that everyone can be entertained by the adventurous movie.
